Sahlab Recipe
Ingredients: • 4 cups of milk • 1/2 cup of cornstarch • 1/2 cup of sugar (to taste) • 1 teaspoon orange blossom water (optional) • Cinnamon, coconut, pistachios and raisins for garnish (optional) Instructions: 1. In a bowl, mix the cornstarch with a cup of milk until it dissolves completely, forming a smooth mixture. 2. In a saucepan over heat, add the remaining milk and sugar, stirring continuously until the sugar dissolves. 3. Add the cornstarch mixture to the milk while stirring continuously until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil. 4. If you are using orange blossom water, you can add it at this stage and mix well. 5. Once Sahlab reaches boiling and becomes thick, remove the saucepan from the heat. 6. Pour Sahlab into serving cups. 7. Sahlab can be garnished with cinnamon, coconut, pistachios and raisins if desired. Sahlab is best served hot, and you can enjoy it during winter or chilly evenings for a warm and delightful experience.
