2 cups ketchup
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup vinegar (apple cider vinegar or white vinegar)
1/4 cup honey or molasses
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
A dash of cayenne pepper (optional)
Preparation method
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, tomato sauce, brown sugar, honey, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring continuously, until the sauce thickens.
If you want to add a spicy flavor, add a dash of cayenne pepper.
After the sauce has cooled, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It can be used for up to two weeks. * All articles published on this blog are sourced from various websites on the internet and are provided for informational purposes only.
