The story of International Women's Day dates back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when women faced significant challenges in their rights and equality in society. At that time, women around the world organized marches and protests to demand their rights. On March 8, 1908, working women in New York City organized a massive march protesting against long working hours, low wages, and mistreatment in garment factories. The following year, in 1909, the American government declared the first of March as International Women's Day, but it did not receive sufficient global response. The idea of reviving International Women's Day was proposed by the Second International Conference of Socialist Women in 1910, with the participation of more than 100 women from 17 countries.
