The question of the relationship between the textual and the referential in a time that is a variable of our history led me to pause at the necessity of the artistic structure of the lived story marked by its destruction. It showcases the modern features written by some Lebanese in their novelistic works, which created a qualitative shift in Arabic novel writing. Some Arab novelists had pursued this under the title “experimentation,” offering works distinguished by their narrative modernism based on the structural relationship between the literary as artistic and the referential as lived reality. Additionally, I was struck by the phenomenon of young poets who came to poetic writing from different battlefields they had joined as teenagers. Their involvement aimed at defending the homeland, but they were surprised to find themselves immersed in sectarian conflicts. This experience left its mark on their youthful endeavors characterized by fragmentation as an indicative artistic form referring to a lived referential reality.
