At a bus stop in a northern French city, Youssef's eyes met Lia's for a moment enough to captivate him. The identity he was searching for seemed found in this woman. He is the third generation of Palestinian migrants. His grandfather left the village of Saffuriyya in Nazareth to Yarmouk Camp in Syria. His parents emigrated to Dubai where he was born. He never felt a sense of belonging in Dubai, Syria, or France, where he recently moved. The French citizenship he obtained was not his dream; his only goal was to travel to Palestine and visit his grandfather's house. However, when Lia brought him the travel tickets, he hesitated. He didn't want his visit to Palestine to be with a French passport and through an Israeli airport.
