Writing is nothing but imitation—a reproduction of pre-existing templates. I find myself aligning with Aristotle's view on literary criticism. Everything around us is merely a mold of something that exists elsewhere. Success comes from imitating human tragedy. When a reader discovers a story's hero experiencing failure and defeat or undergoing a more painful emotional journey than they have, they find solace in that. As an example, it's said: “The most beautiful tragedies are those complexly structured and mirror events that evoke fear and pity.” I believe that's why literary works that encapsulate the essence of humanity and its inner feelings in their darkness are more enduring than others.
