In this book, "Training Students in the Rules of I'rab - Elementary Stage," the author provides a grammatical analysis (I'rab) of Ibn Malik's Alfiyyah, defining his purpose and methodology. He states in his introduction that "the knowledge of I'rab is an indispensable duty and one of the essentials for a jurist." He mentions that Ibn Malik's Alfiyyah is one of the most beneficial and direct paths to understanding this aspect of grammar. Hence, his goal was defined, and his field of work was confined to this area, which he noted was neglected and felt it was his duty to address. He then mentions that scholars who explained the Alfiyyah focused on understanding its meanings but did not deeply examine the grammatical structure of its verses. Any attention they gave to this aspect was in limited instances dictated by necessity. Therefore, this responsibility became incumbent upon him. It occurred to him to analyze all its verses grammatically, explain its unique vocabulary, and vocalize its difficult words to make it easier for memorizers. This became his plan: a complete grammatical analysis of the Alfiyyah's verses, an explanation of its rare terms, and the vocalization of its problematic words.
