Through the fates of its characters caught between grand illusions and personal defeats, the novel reveals the falsehood of revolutionary slogans and statements. In the name of innocence, foolish acts are committed, and in the name of martyrdom, people become murderers. Abbas Beydoun is a Lebanese poet and writer.
