Rejection itself is a destructive element. However, no radical revolution or civilization comes without rejection as a precursor, similar to thunder before rain. Only rejection allows us, in our current civilizational crisis, to hope for a flood that purifies and sweeps away, and for the sun that rises afterward. Anyone seeking a free and humane future must nurture it with humanity and freedom. In this context, the new Arabic poem is born. It embraces and transcends events. It rejects reality while engaging and living with it. Emerging from the depths of the poet’s soul, it leads people on its journey and aspiration. It ceases to be just an expression of grief or merely a reflection of sensitivity. It becomes an expression of history’s weight and burden, amidst a climate of rejection and nostalgia, fear and illumination.
