The sensitivity of delving into the sectarian issue in our contemporary times makes the writer's task challenging. If the research lacks objectivity, it loses its value, turning into a promotional or ideological work that exacerbates the issue instead of understanding and addressing it. This complexity forced me to expand the research, given the scarcity of references, to the extent that the book grew much larger than I anticipated. Yet, I had to explore most contemporary problems, considering this study as merely a contribution to discussing a matter that troubles everyone, both rulers and the governed. This issue links history with modern ethnic divisions, as everyone seeks victories to celebrate, even though delving into this history is fraught with bitterness and endless alignments within identities and their offshoots, further deepening conflicts among peoples, groups, and states. While I tried to base this study on contemporary social history, the researcher cannot escape from what history has established, what the present amplifies, and what future fears might disturb.
