Geographical foundations are related to the geographical locations of the speakers and users of this language, as explained by linguistic geography and linguistic atlases. Finally, there are psychological foundations related to the components of the linguistic situation: the speaker and the listener, or the writer and the reader, which is the task of psycholinguistics.
