'Al-Sha'ir' (The Poet) publishes studies originally authored in Arabic, as well as studies originally authored in foreign languages after their translation, across all fields of literature and humanities. While specializing in this, it aims to be an advanced platform, not just for poetry as its name might suggest, but for all issues related to literature and humanities in general or those adjacent to them. In 'Al-Sha'ir', we seek works that establish a universal common ground, foster diversity, and break away from certainties that claim ownership of the past as a private fiefdom often managed to halt history. Therefore, we call for an engagement with texts—a deep engagement, not a hasty reading; an engagement that is not satisfied with mere explanations, however important, but one that observes their imaginative scope, unlocks their hidden depths, tames their absolutes, listens to the current of time passing through them, digests their spirit, and begins from there.
