This book includes three unfinished novels. It's as if Ghassan Kanafani wanted his bomb-shattered body to write the ending. Yet, there are no endings with this author. There's a pursuit for new horizons when others close. These unfinished novels were published posthumously, and their first appearance in "Palestinian Affairs" magazine was surprising.

  • The first novel, titled "The Lover," draws portraits of the Palestinian resistance woven by the fighters themselves.
  • The second novel, "The Blind and the Deaf," revisits Kanafani's symbols, wrapped in a poetic structure. The dialogue between the blind and deaf characters, searching for the saint, reveals unexpected truths.
  • The third novel, "April's Plums," revisits the atmosphere of "Return to Haifa" but flips the narrative. Abu Al-Qasim, who denies his martyr son's body, reflects a different perspective of Saeed.

These three unfinished novels offer a symbolic image that Kanafani couldn't capture on paper. The author, so close to his heroes, becomes the main protagonist in unwritten stories.
