The book “The History Bag” is based on a series of episodes with the same name, aired on Al-Mayadeen in the summer of 2014. Hosted by Bassam Abu Sharif, advisor to the late President Yasser Arafat, and interviewed by journalist Lina Zahr Al-Din, it aimed to document important stages and moments in the path of the Palestinian revolution over fifty years. Starting from early armed struggle, it highlights pivotal events that shaped and directed the Palestinian revolution, including the events of 1970 in Jordan, Golda Meir's war on Palestinian leaders, the Camp David Agreement, the 1982 invasion of Lebanon, and the evacuation of the PLO from Beirut leading up to the first Intifada, and the Madrid Peace Conference.

Additionally, it covers countless agreements and negotiation rounds between the Palestinian and Israeli sides under international sponsorship, continuing with Israel’s campaigns to eliminate the Palestinian issue, the political solution project, the Oslo Accords, and Yasser Arafat's assassination. These discussions uncover field secrets and political backstage activities to offer a rereading of these critical phases in confrontation and resistance from a historical and documentary perspective, providing rich material that enlightens the reader and inspires generations from the struggle and resistance heritage to build national and patriotic awareness in the conflict with the Israeli entity and domination policies.
