Al-Qunawi's gloss summarizes from Al-Zamakhshari's Al-Kashaf the syntax and meanings, from Fakhr al-Din al-Razi wisdom and theology, and from Al-Raghib derivation, facts, and references while adding his thoughts. The renowned Qunawi Al-Hanafi (-1195 Hijri) wrote a gloss on it, as did Ibn Al-Tamjid (-880 Hijri, mentor of Sultan Muhammad Al-Fatih). This edition compiles the three texts.
