This book discusses the Earth as mentioned in the Holy Quran. In this Surah, we pause at the two noble verses: 'The Day when the Rajifah (the first blast) will shake. The Radifah (the second blast) will follow it.' These are two scenes of a single seismic event, and scholars of interpretation have differed in their explanation and clarification. Most scholars considered the Rajifah to be the first blast and the Radifah the second. Others found the Rajifah to be the earth and the Radifah the Hour. Some said the Rajifah is the earthquake and the Radifah the cry, while a few indicated that the Rajifah represents the trembling of the earth and the Radifah the earthquake. The author believes the latter perception is the most realistic, positing that there is no difference in seismic events between the trembling of the earth and the earthquake itself.
