The novel "The Dreamer" explores a question that seems as self-evident as it is complex: "Is a dream worth sacrificing everything for?" The author attempts to answer this by blending the bizarre with reality, creating a unique narrative structure that intertwines three complete novels. Each can be read individually, but together they open up a broader horizon for understanding the central question of Kassimi's work. This approach also transforms the novelist into a character within the story, whose depths can only be fathomed through a careful reading, where details are set aside to be used as keys to understanding the novel later on.

Samir Kassimi begins his narrative with an introduction stating: "The reader has the right to know that in this work, I was merely an editor of a story that actually happened... The events of the novel are real, and all its characters are from reality, and any resemblance to this with the truth is no coincidence." He continues, "...Now... I can only leave the reader to read this novel, and I sincerely hope that when they do and reach its conclusion, they will know that what happened to me was not just imagination or the hallucinations of a writer on the brink of madness. And certainly, they will realize, without a doubt, the reason for my refusal to obscure the truth of my novel with that sentence they are used to reading in my previous works: 'Any resemblance between the events and characters of this story and reality is purely coincidental.'"
