I remember, before I fell asleep, I stared for a long time at the screaming face of the man in the statue, and it seemed to me 'similar to the scream' of that woman in the shop. Then I let my imagination wander, reassured by sleeping under the statue instead of in alleyways and building entrances, because the light and air of Martyrs' Square brought peace to my soul. I remember opening my eyes, tossing and turning, then sleeping on my back staring at the stars. As dawn began to break, with the sky clear and turning an indigo blue, and the stars shining nearby surrounded by small patches of light mixed between white and gray, I wished I had my notebook with me to write. I cried, then went back to sleep after wiping my tears.
