'The Conduct to Know the Kingdoms' is among the most significant works of Al-Maqrizi and a prominent book of Middle Egyptian history. The author completed his historical series by gathering and documenting the most extensive information regarding the Ayyubid and Mamluk eras, spanning from 577 AH to the year before his death in 845 AH. He relied on several prior sources, mentioning and referencing them. This is an authenticated edition, which concludes with a dedicated volume containing the general scientific indexes of the book.
