This book provides teachers with practical experience and a comprehensive understanding of food, health, and safety, addressing the needs of children from birth until they enter school. It also prepares teachers to serve diverse communities and establish early childhood education centers, nurseries, kindergartens, and basic-level schools.
Our goal is to equip children with a strong awareness of these concepts, encouraging them to apply this knowledge to maintain their own health. These skills are developed by educating them in the following areas: involving parents and children in nutrition, health, and safety topics to ensure child safety. Students learn to work within a support network to meet children's needs for food, health, and security. They will also be able to design and implement experiences that are appropriate for the age, developmental, and linguistic stage they are working with, while responding to the cultural needs of the community.
We invite student teachers to join the early childhood care team, recognizing the importance of this critical period in a child's life, to help them reach their full potential and understand the significance of food, health, and safety in their learning and well-being.
