This book serves as a workshop or a series of workshops that enhance and support the development of critical thinking skills and their cultural connections, representing a true investment in students' abilities and the advancement of their thinking skills. The purpose of applying the MiCOSA model is to train teachers to act as classroom facilitators in implementing an open systematic approach to teaching critical and creative thinking skills. The MiCOSA model provides the school-based mechanism through which 21 thinking skills, essential for the demands of the 21st century, are developed. The general framework of this model is based on three fundamental components: (1) prior knowledge and cultural grounding, (2) activating mediating conversations between the teacher and their students, and (3) teaching 21 thinking skills. The MiCOSA model was specifically designed for teachers across all grade levels. Although the term 'classroom' has expanded to include any environment where educational experiences are exchanged, the physical classroom remains the 'place' where the teacher designs appropriate learning experiences, situations, and contexts to achieve objectives.
