Islamic scholars unanimously agree that "Sahih al-Bukhari" is one of the greatest books after the Holy Qur'an. The Muslim Ummah and its scholars have given it great attention, both in narration and study, as it is the comprehensive collection that surpassed all others in the field of Musnad compilations. Imam al-Dhahabi said of it: "Al-Bukhari's Sahih collection is the most magnificent and best of Islamic books after the book of Allah Almighty." This book, "Ta'liqat al-Qari 'ala Thulathiyat al-Bukhari" (Al-Qari's Commentary on the Trilogies of al-Bukhari), gathers within its covers the hadiths of Sahih al-Bukhari from the sheikhs of narration and audition who heard this "Jami'" with a connected chain of transmission, generation after generation, back to its author, Imam al-Bukhari. The author's effort is highlighted in tracing these chains of transmission for the "trilogies" of "Sahih al-Bukhari." He worked on presenting the hadith through the path of each sheikh with a brief biography, followed by a biography for each man in the chain of narration, up to Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar or others whose chain to "Sahih al-Bukhari" is elevated. This is followed by the text on the narrators' audition of "Sahih al-Bukhari," whether in its entirety, partially, or just its trilogies, to clarify for the reader the authenticity of these chains and the validity of the audition of "Sahih al-Bukhari" to our present time.
