Sultan Abdul Hamid's history is the primary source from which Mustafa Armagan draws in presenting one of the key figures in Islamic history, Sultan Abdul Hamid II, described by his daughter Ayesha as the 'embodiment of true Islamic allegiance' and the emblem of Islamic civilization in its final struggle before the fall of its state against Western civilization with all its different names and titles. As the poet Naguib Fazl said, the key to belonging is: 'Tell me about Abdul Hamid, and I will tell you who you are.' In this book, Mustafa Armagan follows the Sultan's journey and his dance with wolves, capturing important moments of Sultan Abdul Hamid II's life with details beyond imagination. Like in the first part, the author tirelessly gathers the crystal pieces that formed Abdul Hamid's personality, reconstructing them anew with as much analysis, interpretation, and supposition as possible. He does so based on certain historical facts—political, social, cultural, and military—reconstructing them through the art of storytelling to enrich the historical library with significant heritage and facts that were lost or obscured about this symbol and legend and his struggle over thirty-three years for a nation besieged by wolves, which remains a significant political event. The dance with the wolves continues at its peak. In the second part of the novel, Mustafa Armagan presents once again unknown aspects of Sultan Abdul Hamid’s character starting from the original documents/state archives of the Ottoman Empire. The reader will learn much about the mysterious Sultan Abdul Hamid, who inaugurated the golden age of education in Turkey, sent an envoy to Cuba, built a mosque in Singapore, a school in Sri Lanka, commissioned 'Webb' from New York and 'Quilliam' from London for special tasks, and whose name is still mentioned in the remote rural mosques of Belarus. The book includes five chapters under the following titles: First Chapter: The World of Abdul Hamid; Second Chapter: Inciting Rebellion in the Ottoman State; Third Chapter: Beyond Borders; Fourth Chapter: A Detailed Study of the Coup Against the Sultan; Fifth and Final Chapter: Abdul Hamid in the Network of Questions.
