This book is the fruit of the author's close connection with Omani poetry. He has read the works of many poets, attended poetry sessions throughout the Sultanate, and participated in a number of seminars and forums dedicated to the study of Omani literature in general. He has also prepared studies in the same field and reviewed a collection of studies presented on this poetry throughout its different eras.

In this book, the author seeks to document some aspects of the Omani presence in the poetry scene, which has played important missionary roles through its historically rich corpus. He also aims to shed more light on the authentic and distinguished Omani poetry in the literary arena, and to uncover the hidden gems of Omani literature that are at risk of being obliterated by development and modernity.
