God distinguished humans with intellect and granted them the ability to think, making reason the basis for religious responsibility. With intellect, a person is accountable, and without it, this responsibility is lifted. The Quran contains many verses urging humans to think and reflect. God asks people to use their minds and thoughts on His creations to deduce His existence. Everything in this universe strongly indicates the presence of one eternal God, Allah. Human contemplation and reflection in this universe lead to faith in God's existence, highlighting the importance of thinking in Islam as it is a primary way to believe in Allah and understand the requirements and entitlements of this faith. Islamic thought is comprehensive, based on Islamic creed, influencing convictions, behaviors, and practices. Muslims need it throughout their growth stages, starting young, with parents undertaking this task, and then extending through relatives, school, mosque, friends, and others. By the time a student reaches university, they have gained a substantial understanding of Islamic knowledge from school, home, society, and other means. Yet, they need to critically revisit previous learnings to distinguish valuable knowledge and build their perspectives based on rational convictions aligning with their maturity, needs, and experiences.
