Writing is an intentional act resulting from a sense of the topic's importance in the present moment, an intellectual challenge, or a sense of an imminent future threat. In all cases, it is an attempt to overcome the affliction of forgetfulness. When writing is approached from a historical perspective, it stems from an awareness of the historical dimension of issues brought forth by the present, as history is the past, present, and future in a continuous, growing, and complex process.
The perception of certain topics and their provocation to the researcher is a prerequisite for awareness of their importance. An idea provokes a counter-idea or a response in a living process where ideas develop individually and collectively. Historical knowledge has become essential for understanding the self and the other. The overlap between history, contemporary life, and human behavior forms a perception with a vision related to power, centered on its main axis: the human, and connected to the lifestyle of the human community.
Perhaps the cultural history of a nation constitutes a whole unit, differing in its details but uniting in a flowing river that forms the national and regional cultural history. Contributing to raising awareness of its details requires provoking the consciousness of others. For all these reasons and more, this book was written. We ask God Almighty that it be beneficial and purely for His noble sake, for He is the grantor of success.
