If the Shebaa Farms hadn't gained their resounding notoriety until the major liberation achievement accomplished by the resistance towards the end of May 2000, the serious subject they raise, along with its challenges and issues, is not new. However, it was previously forgotten, confined to a modest circle, only attended to by those directly affected by it, who lived its painful reality daily. Among the forefront of these workers was the son of Shebaa, former MP, and author of this book, Mr. Munif Al-Khatib. Though the author's interest in the topic and his relentless quest for documents related to the farms to establish their Lebanese identity is evident in the book and does not warrant further mention here, some points help to form a reasonable idea about the book: The author has lived and experienced the subject of the book, enduring what the writing process entailed. The book is not filled with political rhetoric or empty slogans, but rather documented words crafted from numbers, dates, maps, and documents both preceding and following the establishment of the Zionist entity. From this perspective, it's the first book of its kind and the first significant document providing a solid foundation from which armed struggle can launch to complete liberation by all means possible. Indeed, the book is a resounding voice that, in our certainty, has the power to reach Western audiences who only heed the voices of others.
