It is my pleasure to present to the people of my town, Shamsatar, this book which gathers documented information about our town's history. We aimed to compile it as a tribute to our ancestors who built it over the years, and to preserve a history we are proud of for future generations to continue the legacy. It is a ray of light from the past, illuminating the path to the future. We have also endeavored to showcase some of our folk heritage and describe the town's economic, social, and cultural life before it fades into oblivion. We have dedicated sections to its creators and distinguished figures, without forgetting our pride and honor—those resistance fighters who sacrificed their all in defense of dignity and the homeland.
