...Sartre says: We do not want to reject Marxism in the name of a third way or an idealistic humanism, but rather to reclaim the human being within Marxism, because that empty space is the place of the human being himself. Marxism has excluded the active and searching human, who is the driver of study. This is a grave deficiency, as Marxism disregards the existential dimension of man, limiting itself to describing abstract human reality, leading to a hollow, inhuman anthropology. Sartre wants a human who is a researcher and not just an object, a maker of history, and though an object of knowledge, is an active subject both within one group and outside another.
