The issues raised today reflect the needs of our time, making it illogical to seek solutions in the writings and visions of the past. We must break free from restrictive traditions, especially those that impose outdated perspectives and concepts about life and the world, as well as values and judgments that hinder our aspirations for a place that matches our reality, abilities, and the demands of our era. Changing lifestyles, patterns, and sources of living requires cultural justification, prompting society to reshape values, norms, ideas, and judgments to align with the new way of life. Society's culture is not just theoretical issues; it is also a system of relationships and values that ensure the interests of a group of people, who will resist any change attempt that leads to loss. For example, in our society, women's work used to diminish their marriage prospects. Young men sought a 'homemaker' who did not work outside. Today, however, they inquire about the job of a prospective bride, and girls demand acknowledgment of their right to work and a commitment from the husband not to prevent it. Whether we are tradition guardians or modernity advocates, one fact cannot be overlooked: our society is experiencing a cultural and value transformation alongside its material changes. This oversight has split our reality between two eras: a material life belonging to the modern age and a cultural-spiritual life belonging to the traditional era.
