When the author observed the widespread distortion of imitation by those who claim ijtihad, and how they speak inappropriately about them with criticism and disbelief, it was clear that this arose from the misguided atheists' failure to follow the path of truth and guidance. They falsely believe they are onto something while they embody deceit and corruption. The author wished to create a work to guide those whom God wills to guidance, while the stubborn would only increase in hostility. Such individuals persist in their delusion, unable to turn away from ignorance or from their self-destructive whims.
