Ikal, a student in the Muhammadiyah Elementary School on the impoverished island of Belitong, faces the harsh tests of life in a land rich in natural resources yet stricken with poverty, injustice, and crumbling infrastructure. Despite these challenges, the seeds of hope sowed by their teachers, Pak Harfan and Bu Mus, blossom into determination, resilience, and a spirit of defiance.
