The subject of electronics and its applications is one of the important topics in our modern era due to its significance in all electronic devices and various applications. Electronics are subject to daily development and modernization due to their importance in practical life. In this book, we have been keen to explain and clarify the main topics needed by specialists and those interested in electronics and their applications. We believe that this book will be a valuable aid for engineering colleges specializing in electrical, electronic, and computer engineering, in addition to electrical and electronic technical institutes. It will also serve as a reference for those interested and researchers in the field of electronics, as it contains the fundamentals and applications they need in this area.

The book contains twelve chapters. The first chapter explains semiconductor electronics and electronic bonds. The operation, applications, and types of diodes with special applications are explained in the second, third, and fourth chapters. The operation of the Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT), its characteristics, and its uses as an amplifier and a switch are explained in detail in the fifth chapter. The sixth chapter covers the methods and circuits for transistor biasing to ensure the transistor operates as required. The seventh chapter explains BJT Amplifiers for all types of transistor connections: Common Base Amplifier, Common Emitter Amplifier, and Common Collector Amplifier, as well as the Multistage Amplifier. Field-Effect Transistors (FETs) are detailed in the eighth chapter, which includes their characteristics, parameters, biasing, and the different types of MOSFETs and their properties. The ninth chapter addresses FET amplifiers of all types. The tenth chapter covers Power Amplifiers, their classes, analysis of each class, and their applications. In the eleventh chapter, the frequency response of amplifiers (for low and high frequencies) for both BJT and FET amplifiers, as well as the frequency response of a multistage amplifier, is explained in detail. In the twelfth chapter, we discuss the thyristor, DIAC, TRIAC, and their applications, in addition to phototransistors and other devices needed in our scientific and practical work.
