Elias Awad holds no fear for Lebanon itself, but is concerned about the effects of regional events on the Lebanese living and economic conditions. The emergence of mini-states within nations only serves Israel's interests, as it benefits from our conflicts. In this scenario, America can introduce and deploy new tools to its advantage, potentially fostering new conflicts and wars in the area. The competition between us and Israel in the realm of Lebanese and Arab media is unbalanced due to the influence of large-scale projects and their corresponding funding. Although journalists’ personality and media institutions have some impact, extensive networks play a crucial role in achieving their goals and delivering media messages effectively. Nowadays, significant news has become more commonplace and widespread, transcending local and Arab boundaries to reach a global audience.

Elias Awad was born in Jezzine, Lebanon. He holds a degree in media from the University of Strasbourg and began his journalism career in 1957, working with various publications and reporting for several Arab newspapers. He founded a local news agency and held several key positions, including Director General of Dar Alf Layla Wa Layla, which publishes several periodicals, and served as Secretary-General of the Lebanese Press Union's fund. He was elected as the head of the Lebanese Journalists Union and authored works including 'The Book of Life' (2006) and 'I Tell the Truth' (2008), both published by Dar Al Farabi.
