Mohammad Aitani, born in Beirut in 1926, was a writer of stories, novels, and articles. He engaged in literary and artistic criticism and introduced various aspects of world literature. Since the 1950s, he was active in the progressive literary movement, with a notable presence in both cultural and activist spheres. Among his published creative works are 'Things that Do Not Die (Stories)', 'The Barricade of Abu Fayyad (Long Story)', 'Citizens of Under-Study Nationality (Stories)', and 'My Darling Sleeps on a Bed of Gold (Novel)', written in 1972 and published in 1986. His last creative work was published in 'Al-Tariq' magazine in 1986, titled 'The River of Time', featuring the first three chapters of his autobiography. Mohammad Aitani passed away on March 20, 1988.
