The first chapter discusses the Crescent and the Cross, the meaning of the Dark Ages or the Middle Ages, the destruction of Paul's and Augustine's City of Man, how the Roman city was preserved in Spain alone, the Arab conquest of the island of Spain, and more.

The second chapter addresses the Moors at the height of their glory, the flourishing cities of Spain under Arab rule, the population of Andalusia then and now, and comparisons between rulers of Andalusia and other European rulers from a scientific perspective, among other topics.

The third chapter presents the City of Light and Love by the Seaboard, describing the retreat of the Moors from the north to the south and the rise of Spanish power.

Chapter four covers Arab sciences and literature, the supreme wisdom of living well, the Europeans’ limited contribution to benevolence, and the spread of schools throughout Andalusian lands.

In chapter five, the role of Jews is examined, their condition before and after the Arab conquest, and why Jews benefited more from Arab sciences than Spaniards.

The sixth chapter describes the era of trials, inquisition, and Spanish military brutality.
