The novelist posits that an alliance between Iblis, the Zionists, and George Bush, under the cover of Bin Laden, facilitated the American war project. They enabled Bin Laden's organization's project, completed it, and declared war on us.

The novelist masterfully employs a brilliant narrative technique to depict the turmoil experienced by the modern individual, especially the Arab, whose life, dreams, and ambitions have become hostage to major powers that destroy them at will under any deceptive pretext, with no unified Arab position to confront the forces of evil. In this text, the novelist transforms these forces into concepts, interpretations, and symbols, expressing the chaotic worlds of the postmodern era.

The characters are embodied in the trinity of evil: Jones, the ruler of the Sun Kingdom (George Bush), his assistant Shylock (the Zionists), and Iblis (War), who agree to place the world under a grand deception titled "The War on Terror," with its justification being "the right to self-defense." Iblis says in his sarcastic, demonic tone, conversing with Jones and Shylock: "What rights are you talking about?... You, Jones, speak of the resources and treasures of the farthest lands as if they were your own and your father's. You speak of your revenge on Hajjaj as if he were the one who attacked your father, Jones Sr., from whom you inherited madness and megalomania. And you, Shylock, speak of the City of the Moon and its native inhabitants, describing them as saboteurs as if they were the ones who attacked you, seized your lands, and colonized them. You begrudge them the martyrdom operations they carry out, branding them as terrorists while you shed their blood, dishonor their women, and violate their sanctities and holy places."

"Mirrors of Iblis" is more than a novel; it is an epic of struggle that continues its journey on a path leading nowhere, with steps that do not trust the next, nor follow the traces of the ones before. It is a question of destiny and the meaning of life. When reading it, we are reminded that illusions exist on earth and truths float in the sky, and nothing is certain in this world. The only certainty is the human conflict that is born every moment, where the absurdity of reality turns into told stories; into pure tales not meant to be lived.
