The book 'Men of the Caliphate' is authored by Leila Abouzeid, a Moroccan writer who resides in Rabat. She was born in 1950 in Kasba in the Middle Atlas mountains. She holds a degree in English Language and Literature from Mohammed V University in Rabat and the University of Texas at Austin. She began her career as a television journalist and worked in several ministerial offices, including the office of the Prime Minister. She has written novels, stories, biographies of the Prophet, autobiographies, and travel literature. She translated the biography of King Mohammed V and the autobiography of Malcolm X from English to Arabic. Her works have been translated into English, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, French, Maltese, and Urdu.
