This discipline has captivated minds, inspired hearts, elevated aspirations, and purified intentions. It has repelled the dominance of desire and avoided the pursuit of the transient, attracting the wisest individuals, those of whom it was said, "Those who seek knowledge without it being for God, knowledge itself will reject until it is genuinely for Him," or as it was said, "Indeed, people sought knowledge not intending for it to be for God, yet it constantly prompted them until their intentions became sincere." Thus, they achieved the means to uncover, affirm, and elucidate the intentions of Sharia for the servants of God. This study, which I present, exemplifies the virtues and distinct qualities of this science, as it covers a topic of great significance indicated by its title: 'Means of Knowing the Intent of Sharia: A Foundational and Applied Study.' Researching these means is as crucial as understanding the objectives themselves since this knowledge is unattainable without the guidance of these paths. They protect the researcher in Sharia's objectives from errors in understanding and facilitate the extraction of purposes. This doctoral thesis by Hamza Al-Aidiya was submitted to the Department of Islamic Sciences at the University of Oran, Algeria, earning the distinction of 'Highly Commendable.' It thoroughly explores the significance of means to Sharia's objectives, particularly in applied foundational research on contemporary issues.
