In light of the rapid changes that have occurred and continue to occur worldwide, affecting various aspects of modern human life in general, and economic, social, and financial aspects in particular—such as coalitions, unions, economic crises, privatization, globalization, and population growth leading to an increased workforce and unemployment, as well as new global political systems and numerous other complex challenges—the true and primary role of management as a professional function and economic activity that plans and prepares for the future becomes evident. This new study plan for management was conceived as a systematic approach, combining theory, studies, and experiences with practical application as an art of interaction to gain expertise and skill.
More broadly, the student can learn about the goals and functions of executive management—planning, organizing, directing, and controlling—and their procedural methods and tools that work to achieve objectives with high productive efficiency. It also introduces the mechanisms of decision-making, imposing authority, defining responsibilities, clarifying communication channels, and accountability through an organizational structure governed by a cooperative, specialized, and amicable climate. This is detailed in the seven chapters of this book, where the concept of management is defined in the first chapter, administrative thought and its schools are discussed in chronological order in the second, and chapters three through seven cover the management functions of planning, organizing, directing, and controlling, respectively, in terms of concepts, principles, and application mechanisms.
Furthermore, an appendix of administrative terms in English is included to help the student's understanding, especially during communication, whether as a sender or receiver, writer or speaker. Another appendix contains comprehensive questions on the book's various topics, allowing students to test and evaluate their acquisition of the scientific knowledge of management, enabling them to practice and apply it correctly and practically.
