My interest in environmental issues has grown since I had the opportunity to teach the 'Man and the Environment' course at Al-Ahliyya Amman University in 1996. I have had the chance to review dozens of books, studies, and articles in both Arabic and English on the environment, its problems, and protection methods from various perspectives. However, I couldn't find a book that presented environmental issues in exhaustive yet engaging detail, and that specified environmental protection measures with unambiguous clarity—which led to this book.
