The Czech novelist Ivan Klima was frequently mentioned in the articles of novelist Rabee Jaber, which drew my attention to the translation of one of his works into Arabic. After Harith Nabhan completed the translation, he told me: I eagerly await the release of this novel to share it with as many friends as possible. Personally, when I read a novel, I mark passages I find beautiful and choose from them what to place on the back cover. When I returned to these paragraphs, I found many, and struggled to condense them to fit the required size. This was challenging, and I couldn't decide. I enjoyed this novel immensely, and often reread certain sections two or three times for extra reading pleasure. I felt that Ivan Klima's words deeply moved me, providing a rare enjoyment. None of Ivan Klima's works had been translated into Arabic before, and when we sought his approval, he expressed his happiness about it. We are also pleased that Dar Al-Tanweer serves as a bridge for Arab readers to discover this profound, strong, and wonderful writer through this novel.
