In his book, author Saeed Abu Rayhan uniquely narrates a real-life love story, not through a novel or poetry, but through letters. This is how Abu Rayhan intended for us to "fall" into the experience with him, moving from one letter to another, following his prose fragments as he tells a love story that begins but never ends.

The book contains 48 letters, sequenced in their events with a light, accessible symbolism that makes the texts a continuous series, like a single narrative. All are addressed to Carmel, but they never reach her. Here, the title's role is to draw the reader into a space of anticipation and longing for these letters to reach their destination, sharing the author's pain of their non-delivery.

We all have our own undelivered letters, and perhaps in Saeed Abu Rayhan's letters, we will find one of our own—one that, for each of us, carries a woman's name we hope is real.
