The first was sent to his mother at age twelve, and the last was dictated to his wife on his deathbed. This edition is the first and most extensive Arabic disclosure of Dostoevsky's personal life. The translator mentions that Dostoevsky repeatedly stated he neither excelled at nor enjoyed writing letters. Perhaps this is why his letters are uniquely unconventional, akin to concise novels. Each letter, whether ten pages or a few lines, contains all elements of miniature novels: introduction, plot, event, and intrigue. The letters represent the greatest documentary novel in literary history with 250 chapters, starring Fyodor Dostoevsky, alongside secondary characters like his brother Mikhail, his first wife Maria Isaeva, his second wife Anna Grigorievna, and numerous social figures and Russian literary icons of his golden age.
