From the novel: A look is the probe of the soul and its essence. When souls tire of their weary bodies, they leave them in a hurry to inhabit others. Everything experienced from previous lives appears as a visual flash that the eyes can transmit as a spiritual heritage. The gaze has its own riddles and a special language not perceived by spoken knowledge. The unknown is encrypted in spiritual codes deposited in their sockets, and as reincarnations are completed and on the verge of salvation and close to their final resolution, the gaze is polished with its brilliance, surrounded by a magical aura that amazes the other and makes them feel the nearness of salvation and the completion of the absent meaning. The souls of ancestors do not leave places; they wait on the edge of time until the circle of reincarnation is complete. There, they inhabit another body, wearing it to live another isthmus.
