If you grew up in the 90s, you might recall watching the TV miniseries based on Stephen King's famous novel “It”. The image of a lone red balloon, a yellow raincoat, or a clown with bald head and red hair on the sides with three orange pom-poms, might stir a memory.

Published in the fall of 1985, “It” was Stephen King's twenty-second and then-largest novel at 1138 pages. Set in Maine, as with many of King's tales, it features a typical American city with hidden horrors beneath, where a shape-shifting entity feeds on children's fears and flesh. The story switches between timelines, starting in the late '50s when Georgie Denbrough is killed while chasing his paper boat in a storm, leading to a series of child disappearances. His brother, Bill, with the help of the Losers' Club, begins to hunt for Georgie's killer and the source behind the town's terror.
