Issues of Our Era Since 1945 by Nour Al-Din Hatoum (1323 AH – 1421 AH / 1913 – 2000 AD) was a Syrian historian and researcher. Among his most famous works is the modern historical encyclopedia. He, along with George Taameh, was instrumental in establishing the History Department at the University of Damascus, the successor to the original Syrian university.
