The second part explores the history of sciences, arts, and literature in the 4th century AH, covering fields such as exegesis, hadith, jurisprudence, theology, ethics, philosophy, Sufism, grammar, rhetoric, literature, geography, art, agriculture, trade, administration, and judiciary.

In the third segment, the author studies intellectual life in Andalusia from the Islamic conquest to the expulsion.

The fourth section addresses Islamic doctrines and movements, their development, conflicts, and future. It is notable that this was Ahmad Amin's final work before his passing.
