Humans are shaped by their experiences, and Ibrahim Nasrallah is among the few poets who lived and connected with others' experiences. Artistic creation must stem from universal human experiences. An example from his poem 'The Celebration' includes: 'Flowers and crowds, an ancient memory song, the Saturday morning sun fully risen, an orphan, a widow advancing, supporting another widow... old soldiers, battles of lost eras... a procession from afar, triumphant cheers... men emerging from darkness... all capturing photos, cursing the end of life and memory, drinking to a slain dream... before the eldest cuts the tape to open the grave!' This collection contains forty-four poems expressing the thoughts and experiences of a seasoned poet, achieving a balance between specific and universal experiences. Nasrallah opens the closed doors of Arab spirit with gentle intent, revitalizing life within.
