This book includes ten critical studies whose titles are the keys that reveal their contents. All have been gleaned from the ramifications of the 'Khayyamic Dawha' (Grove) and its extended branches, and from many pauses, reflections, critiques, and visions—consenting, moderate, and rejecting—dictated for the most part by numerous quatrains attributed to Omar Khayyam, of which the authentic have not yet been distinguished from the apocryphal.
Among the topics and issues that preoccupied the researcher, translator, and editor Dr. Yousef Bakkar in this book are: Khayyam and his quatrains in Arabic literature; the relationship between Abdel Wahab Azzam and Omar Khayyam; Arar's translation of Khayyam's quatrains and its echoes; Ahmed Al-Safi Al-Najafi and Khayyam's differing stances; the fact that Ali Mahmoud Taha did not translate Khayyam's quatrains; and Omar Khayyam as seen through the eyes of the poet Lamia Abbas Amara.
